Nestled at the bottom of Lake Chala (a scenic crater lake east of Mount Kilimanjaro) and next to the source of underground fresh springs that nourish the farm, Chalar Farms is a reliable source of employment to many in the Chala community and a recognized economic catalyst in the region. As a farm certified under Global Gap Risk Assessment on Social Practice (GRASP), our most important resource - employees - enjoy superior work conditions and a sense of ownership in outcomes.
